My Beauty Town Bukittinggi

I wanna show you one of beauty place in Indonesia especially in West Sumatera. So,, this is my town Bukittinggi

Bukittinggi is one of big city in Sumatera Barat with population more than 91.000people and the area 25.24 km ². Bukittinggi stand around of Gunung Singgalang (not activ) dan Gunung Marapi (activ). Its located at 930 m above sea level, with cool climate temperature about 16,1 ° -24,9 ° C.

Bukittinggi was born on 22 desember 1784.

Bukittinggi was once the capital city of Indonesia while in the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI) from December 19, 1948 until July 13, 1949.

PUBLIC  TRANSPORTATION  IN  BUKITTINGGI

Bukittinggi employs a public transportation system known as Mersi (Merapi Singgalang) and IKABE that connect locations within the city. The city also still preserves the traditional horse-cart widely known in the area as BENDI, although the use is limited and more popular to be used as vehicle for tourist, both domestic and foreign. The fee is about Rp 15000 until Rp 50000.

First....

JAM GADANG

This is a large clock tower built by the Dutch in 1926. The height is about 26m. This is the icon of Bukittinggi. The unique of jam gadang is four romawi. We always see four romawi is like IV but in jam gadang we’ve see IIII.

2. NGARAI SIANOK (sianok canyon)

What is anything else you want to look? The tunnels from the world wars 2? ok, ladies and gentleman i present...... *jeng jeng jeng*drum rools*

4. Pasar Atas and Pasar Bawah - traditional markets in downtown.

  If you’re shopaholic or want to collect special thing or marchandise  about bukittinggi, you can go to pasar atas. Do you want to buy a food for cook, so can buy it in pasar bawah.the price is cheaper than supermarket.

5. Museum Rumah Kelahiran Bung Hatta (Museum of Bung Hatta Birthplace) –

 the house where Indonesian founding father Mohammad Hatta was born, now a museum

This house is very interesting. You can watch every heritage bung hatta.

6. fort de cock

Fort de Kock is Dutch heritage fort stands Bukittinggi, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. After renovated since 2002 the government made this are became Bukittinggi City Park and Tropical Bird Park

7. TAMAN MARGA SATWA DAN BUDAYA KINANTAN

Taman Margasatwa dan Budaya Kinantan or as known Kebun Binatang Bukittinggi this is one of zoo in Sumatera. At 1935, in this area built Rumah Adat Baanjuang (Rumah gadang).

8. MUSEUM TRI DAYA EKA DHARMA

Museum Tridaya Eka Dharma is one of museum in Sumatera Barat yang terletak especially Bukittinggi, the located in Panorama No. 24, kelurahan Kayo Kubu, kecamatan Guguk Panjang, Bukittinggi. This museum is declarated by oleh Mohammad Hatta, on16 Augus 1973. This Museum has collect a hundred gun when the world war.
